Did We See You At The LFS Conference This Year?

Last month, Lawyer Checker was pleased to have attended the annual LFS Conference, hailed as the largest event on the conveyancing calendar.

Held at Birmingham’s prestigious Vox Centre, the day’s highlights included engaging talks from a range of experts, as well as discussions on developments in the sector, with a focus on digitisation and protection.

The lender panel debate provided attendees with the important opportunity to share their own views on how the transaction process could be improved, with real-time feedback from lender representatives.

However, the excitement didn’t end there, as the Conference was swiftly followed by the evening of awards, celebrating both conveyancing firms and individuals who had performed particularly well during the year.

For Lawyer Checker, the event provided us with the valuable opportunity to interact with our users and gain feedback in order to improve the service we provide. As well as this, engaging with attendees on a face-to-face basis enabled us to hear real risk-related concerns of conveyancers and provide practical advice. It was brilliant to hear that so many firms have chosen to implement Lawyer Checker into their risk prevention strategy; rather than simply occasional, many firms told us that checks had become part of the transaction process department-wide.

Throughout the day, we also gained professional opinions and views during our breakout sessions. Featuring guest speakers from the SRA, CLC, Legal Eye, Polymorph and Brighter Law Solutions, the talks focused on risk prevention and strategies to improve security.

We were pleased to see so many guests seeking to learn more about risk and compliance, with all sessions being well attended. This was also reflected in the official LFS feedback, which gathered real opinions of professionals who had attended the Conference during the day.

Having viewed the data, we found that the morning was off to a particularly strong start, with just under 30% of respondents stating that they chose to attend our talks.

Crispin Passmore from the SRA and the CLC’s Stephen Ward both received good receptions, with their talks being rated as either good or excellent by those who attended.

Also receiving an encouraging response was Rhonda Treacy Hales, with all of those asked responding positively to her talk.

Our afternoon sessions proved even more popular, with over 30% of guests choosing to attend the Lawyer Checker talks. All speakers were again well received, with the majority of those who listened to Legal Eye’s Paul Saunders rating him as either good or excellent. The final guests to speak during our breakout also gathered a positive response, with both Polymorph’s Steve Harris and Trevor Hellawell from Brighter Law Solutions being judged positively.

Aside from our talks, the feedback also indicated the Conference itself went down well with attendees – 95% stated that they’d be returning to the LFS Conference next year.

Will you be among them?
